National Day 2009

| | TrackBacks (0)
A day late but "Happy Birthday Singapore!!!". =D

Met up with Donna yesterday at Jurongpoint to eat at Thai Express and for some reason we ate ALOT yesterday...Surprisingly, although it was National Day, there werent many people at Jurongpoint, except for the 4D Booth in NTUC...wtf. 4D is seriously Singapore's national hobby lor!

After eating at Thai Express, we did a little shopping and after not doing much shopping in Thailand(I went to Thailand btw), I caved in and bought LOTS of stuff yesterday. In fact, I wanted to buy so much stuff that Donna had to stop me from buying at one point. Thanks Donna for helping me save money! Anyways, we took a break at Bakerzin and while we were eating, this big group of to-be university kids and army boys came in. I guessed that they were army boys because the boys had crew cuts and the girls must be students waiting for university to start classes. One of the girls kept stroking one of the guys's thigh the WHOLE time they were there...Like seriously stroking his whole thigh up and down...wtf?! The guy actually pushed her hand away a few times but she still continued. Get the hint girl!!! Stroking someone's thigh in public at 7+pm is not appropriate lor!

Donna posing for my photo at Bakerzin...although the both of us were very distracted by thigh-stroking girl.

I was kinda shocked when I saw Donna yesterday because the both of us were wearing polka dots! wtf?! What a coincidence! This proves that great minds think alike :D

They had this lets-say-the-pledge-together-at-8.22pm thing on this year's National Day so staff at Macdonalds' went around asking people if they would like to participate. They even went around handing out the pledge which was printed on papers...You mean there are Singaporeans who actually do not remember the pledge?!

Anyways, the pledge thing went quite well because many people actually participated. Singapore pride~~!!! Took a video of the event!

Felt so proud to be a Singaporean after the pledge thingy and wanted to hold a Singapore flag and take pictures but...we didnt have one. So we decided to improvise by using the red Macdonald's french fries box and white napkin...wtf. What? Cannot ar? At least we got the colours right! :D

My friend Takaaki sent me this photo taken outside Kwansei Gakuin University.

SO FREAKING PRETTY!!! I want to do hanami!!!

Neoprint machines in Singapore kinda rocks~

| | TrackBacks (0)
I did this part-time job of bringing Japanese students around 2 weeks back. All I had to do was to bring students to places hat they wanted to go to in Singapore and then bring them back safely to the allocated meeting place. It's basically the same thing I did back in 2007. My first group was 5 boys from Tokyo Gakkan High School and of all places to go, they wanted to visit the Bird Park!!! Havent been to the Bird Park since I was like what, in primary school? It was pretty fun to go to the Bird Park after so many years but one thing that sucked was the fucking hot weather. Almost died under the merciless hot sun -___-. We only managed to go to one place of attraction because it takes at least one hour to travel there from Orchard and another hour was wasted on the way back. =(

The second group was 6 girls from Takasaki High School and the only place that they wanted to see was Bugis Street because according to their guidebook...Bugis Street is the Harajuku of Singapore. -________- wtf?! That's like such an insult to Harajuku for goodness sake. Anyway, brought them to see the Sri Mariman Temple first because their teacher wanted the student tour guides to do so. Was supposed to bring them to some other temples as well but seriously, nobody was interested in seeing temples. Walked around Chinatown and I'm so proud of myself for not getting lost! Okay, that's maybe because Qianli came over to help me so I didnt get lost. wtf. Meeting place was at Raffles Landing Site and up till then, I never knew that we had two Raffles statues in Singapore and neither did I know that the new Asian Civilisations Museum is near Raffles Landing Site. No matter what you are thinking now...I am 100% Singaporean okay! Just that I dont know much about Singapore...I should be so ashamed of myself. :(

On the 13th, we had this SB3-reunion-cum-farewell-to-Tommie thing at Lisa's house. Havent been to Lisa's house in ages and it was nice to meet up with my high school classmates after such a long time. Ate, talked and played Taboo. Taboo is like such a fun game and everyone really enjoyed it =D As it was the eve of Valentine's Day, Ray gave every girl there a stalk of rose. We were like "Thank you Ray" before he blurted out that those roses were leftovers from the roses sale at his school. wtf...but he paid for it anyway so, thank you! =D

On Valentine's Day, we had a Korean class gathering at Eileen's house. Last Valentine's, I spent it with my Korean class as well...wtf. We can seriously go cry or something...haha. Ate nasi lemak cooked by Eileen's maid and it was so freaking delicious =D After eating, we went for karaoke and it was so fucking expensive because it was a Saturday night. Bah...but it was fun anyway. =D

Today, I met up with Li Ming and Kymberlyn and I realised that this is actually the first time that we've gone out together as a trio. We also went to take neoprints, a first time for the three of us. :D So we went to this neoprint shop located in Cineleisure and we had to pay in JAPANESE YEN for the machine that we chose...wtf?! It was really tiring taking the neoprints because we had to take photos till the time ran out and we took 16 shots in the end. Cool thing about this machine is that you can send the photos to your cellphone via infrared now! When I was in Japan, I loved their neoprint machines because besides costing half the price of what it costs in Singapore, you can receive the neoprints in .jpg format via email or infrared. I was complaining to my Japanese friend that Singapore's not so high-tech yet and when I come back...VIOLA~ you can now send neoprints to your cellphone! Best thing is you can send ALL the photos that you decorated to your cell~ Whee~

Mid-term break's ending soon and my teacher just told us that we have a new assignment due on Monday...damn! Gotta unpack my boxes and luggages from Japan, Hong Kong and Taiwan or else my mum will never stop nagging...damn! Going to take a rest now~ Tata~

25 random stuff

| | TrackBacks (0)
What I wrote for facebook. =D

Write 25 random things about yourself and tag 25 others to do the same thing...wtf.

1) The only person that I love more than myself is my grandmother who stays in Malaysia. =D I cry enough to fill the Pacific Ocean(obviously exaggerating) whenever I have to leave her. I swear that the Malaysia immigrations officer was trying to stifle his laughter when I walked passed him bawling in 2008.

2) I procrastinate alot and that's why I wrote point no. 1 at 3pm+ and point no. 2 at 5pm. Heh.

3) I've been to Japan 5 times in 3 years, Korea 3 times in 4 years, China 2 times in 3 years and I've been to Malaysia ALOT of times...and that's because my dad's family stays there. The country which I want to go again is Japan...wtf. My friend once commented that I disappear off to Japan every vacation. Not true okay, Fiona Eng! Haha.

4) Contrary to what people think, I am an introvert and I am really shy but I can be really fun and irritating when you get to know me. Kar Fai once said that he thought that I was quiet during the first 3 months of JC but I just couldnt shut up after the first 3 months...-___-.

5) I have ZERO general knowledge and my geography sucks. I used to think that Bintan was some island in Singapore and was seriously puzzled when my teacher cracked a joke about her friend not bringing a passport to visit Bintan. Then, I was like "Why do you need a passport? You're just moving around Singapore lo!". My sister never stops making fun of me because of this.

6) I am very gossipy and I love gossip ALOT, even if it doesnt concern me...wtf...I have no life. This is probably why Donna likes going out with me.

7) I hate public speaking to the core and I get jitters when I have to do presentations in class...even if there are only 3 people in my class and I know all of them well. I tend to speak fast when I'm nervous and this can be proved by the fact that I usually complete my presentations in less than 3 minutes. Oh, and by the way, the given time for the presentations is usually 10~20 minutes. Someone please teach me how to do public speaking!

8) My English pronunciation is really bad and my sister always laugh at me for it. I tried pronouncing the word "aphrodisiac" but ended up pronouncing it as "eh-fro-see-dee-act". Dont ask me why I was trying to pronounce this word.

9) I am the messiest girl you'll ever meet BUT I can be neat if I want to...just that I dont want to. I usually tidy up my room once in a blue moon but I never fail to mess it up again after one week. Clothes just manage to appear from nowhere.

10) Am really bad at writing stuff and I'm actually stuck already at point no. 10. My teacher once commented that I write like a elementary school kid when I was in high school. As much as I wanted to prove her wrong, I couldnt. =(

11) Dont laugh but I think that I'm damn nice. =D I can be nice to people that I dont like because I feel that there is no need to tell others that I dont like them. I am also nice to peope that I like. So in conclusion, I am nice to everybody! Whee~

12) I can be damn fake. See point no. 11, second sentence.

13) I am an internet addict and I can be stuck to my computer for the whole day...even if I have other pressing matters to attend to. This illustration also proves my point no. 2 of me being a procrastinator.

14) People think that I'm good at Japanese(yes, I know that this is damn 不要脸) but I seriously do not think so. I am actually pretty bad at Japanese, especially written Japanese. I write like a elementary school kid remember??

15) I hate making new friends because I hate the part where you have to part someday. This explains why I have so little friends in NUS, my university. The number is going to get smaller when Hao Yang and Fiona graduates this semester. Are you going to leave me behind too as well, Sharon Tan?

16) I am actually damn auntie. I love discounts, compare prices and I fight for seats on the trains in Singapore...Only in Singapore though...because people are kiasu enough to elbow others to make sure that they get a seat. 发挥auntie精神!!!

17) I have no idea what I want to do in the future. Part 1 of my "I want to marry a dying, rich old man so I can use his money after he dies" wish is just for laughs. Part 2 of my "I will then use his money to go to host clubs" wish is also just for laughs...I think.

18) I am not a paedophile, no matter what you think. I may like Japanese high-school boys but that's because I like their uniforms, not the boys...I think. And I dislike dating someone younger than me because they're probably immature and I might have to feed them in future. wtf.

19) I might say that I'm pretty, cute, (add nice words here) but deep down, I dont actually mean it. =D

20) I think that little girls are ugly but little boys are cute. Okay, not all but most. Once again, this doesnt mean that I'm a paedophile.

21) Unlike my friend who divides friends into 友達、友人、仲間 and 知り合い, I do not. I call everyone whom I know who is not family, a friend. I dont see the need to classify friends into different categories.

22) I can dislike people for no apparent reason and similarly, I can like people for no apparent reason as well. People used to ask me why I dislike (insert name here) but I seriously have no idea why. When I end up disliking someone I used to like, I find it difficult to re-like that person. However, it is easier for me to like someone that I disliked originally.

23) I am not afraid of dying but I'm afraid of losing my loved ones.

24) I know nuts about politics and although I feel that I should be learning more about what's happening in the political world, I'm just too lazy to do so. Please give me a crash course, Donna Tan...when you have the time that is.

25) My idea of what's pretty/cute/handsome/hot is different from many others. My friends usually dont trust my taste. -_-. People whom I think is cute, my friends think that they're fugly. People whom my friends think are hot, I think that they're so-so. All the better what!!! We wont fight~lalala.

I cant believe I spent almost one hour on this thing when I should really be doing my homework. (^_^)

I just realised that...

...they are all in the same colour. Well, almost.

Wtf am I bringing there?!

| | Comments (3) | TrackBacks (0)
Leaving for Japan tomorrow morning so I'm supposed to reach Changi Airport around 11+ tonight. Been shopping around for omiyage, drying and ironing my clothes (I can do housework okay!) and packing my luggage. Up till now, 6.40pm, my luggage is almost 20kg already. WTF?! How did I manage to stuff so much junk into the luggage?! Must help my luggage lose weight =(

Anyway, I'll be bringing my laptop with me so I wont suffer from internet withdrawal symptoms while in Japan. Whee~

Edit
My omiyage's 5 freaking kilograms heavy. wtf.

Shopping~!

Did a little shopping yesterday and today. Bought books, leggings, dresses and cosmetics. Damn happy with my purchases but at the same time, I'm feeling really broke. I'm seriously in need of money. Please contribute to the "Save Jiahui Fund" by contacting me. Any amount will be appreciated.

Nah, just kidding. Then again, it wouldn't hurt. Lalala. Accompanied Donna for her interview at SMU yesterday (and to also do some shopping). While waiting at the bench outside SMU, because one cant enter the SMU building if you do not have a SMU pass(wtf), I saw quite a number of SMU students dressed up in formal wear. Seriously, it was 7+ in the evening and it's the freaking holidays for goodness sake! Wear something casual can! I know that there's summer term but did they really have to wear so nice for school? I don't even bother putting on a nice T-shirt for school lor. I wear crumpled old T-shirts to school. =D Then again, I'm not from SMU...and that's probably why I got weird "Oh-my-god-look-at-her-dressed-so-shabbily" stares from formal-wear-students.

Before going to SMU, we had a little tea break at Coffee Club Express...or whatever the shop was called. Ordered a chicken pie and iced mocha. The chicken pie was so freaking good and it was the first time that I was served a chicken pie that was already cut open. The filling was scrumptious but it tasted a bit like the chicken vegetable stew by Campbell that I love.

Not-so-secretly took a photo of Donna while she was erm...looking at her iced tea.

Didnt drink my iced mocha straight away when it arrived. When I finally got down to drinking it, some of the ice had already melted and my drink was basically overflowing, thus, dirtying the table. Damn paiseh and sorry to whoever who had to clean it up.

Went out today with Kym to Vivocity. Ate at Earle Swensen's. The salad buffet was not bad, the meat was passable but the vegetables was...horrible. Ice cream was delicious as usual. Hee. Walked around Vivocity and while at Nichii Fashion City, we saw this Lindsay Lohan t-shirt. Erm...damn old picture can.

Next, we went to Zara. Normally Zara stuff are like freaking expensive but as they were having a sale, prices were slashed by ALOT and so...I made my first ever purchase from Zara. Whee~ Had coffee at Starbucks and I never knew until today that there's two Starbucks outlets in Vivocity. Seriously, need so many outlets in ONE shopping centre meh?!

Okay, shall resume watching online videos. Lalala.

Pushing Daisies is a damn good show

| | TrackBacks (0)
Besides venturing out of my house to eat like twice a week, I havent been going out alot recently. My routine for each day is prettty much similar.

Wake up in the noon > Reach for my handphone to disable the alarm that I fail to hear every morning > Roll over and grab my laptop by my bed > Check mail > Watch online videos > Check mail > Chat > Check mail > Eat brunch or something > Check mail > Shower > Check mail > Watch online videos > Eat dinner > Continue using the laptop till 4am in the morning or so > Sleep

I seriously do not have a life lar! I check mail like every other hour or something and even though I know there's no mail for me, I still do so anyway...because I have nothing else better to do. Hope that this week would be better.

Anyway, went to pick my sister up at the budget terminal today and had dinner there as well...at 12 midnight. wtf. Who eats dinner at 12 midnight?! Initially, I just wanted a snack or something so I ordered a blueberry pie but ended up sharing this smelly steak with my sister. Food at the budget terminal is so not cheap...considering that the food wasn't really that nice. By not nice, I'm referring to the steak only, the pie was passable.

Speaking of pie, the reason why I ordered pie was because I had this weird craving for it after watching Pushing Daisies. I've wanted to watch Pushing Daisies ever since I was in Korea and saw like what, 5 minutes of it on television. Finally got down to watching all 9 episodes of Season 1 yesterday night and I'm seriously hooked onto it. The storyline's pretty weird but interesting and I love how colours are used on that show. Show seems unreal yet real at the same time. Cant really explain the exact feeling but yea, it's a cool show and I love the lady who acts as Olive Snook~Great voice and she looks damn good for her age. Can't wait for Season 2 to be out.

Cute fan that I saw at Best Denki IMM. Yar...totally pointless but whatever. I'm always pointless.

Yup, end of entry. Shall resume watching online videos. Whee~
