SKS Outing at SU

| | Comments (0) | TrackBacks (0)
Will blog about my Hiroshima trip some other time because I'm still sorting out pictures. I think I took way too many pictures...(*_*)

Anyway, met up with my fellow SKS classmates yesterday at SU Korean restaurant. As usual, everyone was late. Normally I dont really mind if people are late but yesterday was kind of bad because I needed to leave early and Felie was going to reach like after I leave. In fact, she did arrive after I left. -_-. The reason why I left early was to go watch Hanayori Dango Final(HYDF) with Li Ming. HYDF was interesting throughout the whole movie(like Cyborg She) and why are Japanese guys(e.g. Oguri Shun and Matsuda Shota) so cute one ar?! I felt that they didnt give Oguri Shun, Matsuda Shota and Abe Tsuyoshi enough screen time. They came out for like only a few minutes in total lor! So disappointing...I was anticipating more Hanazawa Rui initially. =( Although HYDF was interesting, the storyline was so predictable(guessed the plot like 20minutes into the movie) and unreal...like seriously, it's never going to happen in real life! Okay, I think that nobody's going to understand what I just wrote but whatever la, like as if anyone understands what I wrote in my previous entries anyway. Lalala, I talk nonsense and I'm proud of it.

After the 130minutes movies, I rushed back to SU to continue eating. Yes, they were still eating there after like 3 hours. Whee~ Ordered cold noodles there and were happily eating it until the waiter came over, saw that we didnt add the vinegar and mustard, and proceeded to exclaim out loud, "You didnt add these?!" He then helped us to add the vinegar and mustard in and asked us to try how it tasted like. All of us agreed that it tasted better without adding anything. (^_^) I guess we have different tastebuds from the Koreans. When he saw our expressions, he thought that he added too much vinegar or something and proceeded to taste his masterpiece. "It's good, but we add more mustard in Korea." Erm, okaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay. Then again, it was nice of him to teach us the right way of eating cold noodles. =D

After eating, we started to take weird photos in the restaurant and I think that we seriously scared the people eating/working there. Paiseh lo, when four crazy people get together, they tend to get a bit rowdy and crazy. Too bad Ann's still in Australia otherwise I think that SU would've probably ban us from the restaurant for the rest of our lives. When I say weird photos, I really mean weird photos...ta-da~

Us again, with Eileen trying to "attract" the waiter who mixed the cold noodles for us. Peggy and Eileen thought that he was kind of cute and was trying to take his photos the whole time but only managed to take photos of his back. Eh---------lousy photographers. Should've had asked me to take...confirm can take face one. Had enough training back in my JC paparazzi days. Heh.

Another siao(crazy) group photo. Then again, looking at all the pictures that we took, I'm like the only one giving weird facial expressions. Oh no!!! Am I the only siao one?!

After a very filling 3+ hours meal, we continued our "Get Fat" mission at Gelare. Ordered this wonderfully chocolatey double-scoop Cookies and Cream ice-cream topped with Koko Krunch and Oreo biscuits...

...chocolate brownie topped with vanilla ice-cream and a outside-crispy-inside-chewy waffle with 2 scoops of ice- cream. In total, we ate like 5 scoops of ice-cream...how not to get fat?!

Why do I look scared of Peggy here? Hmm...

Cant stand it...why are there so many strange photos of me?! Come to think of it, I havent taken weird photos like this in a long long la la time. Whee~

Eileen with her True Yoga bag and waterbottle. Eh, you think that you're True Yoga spokesperson ar?! -_-

Group photo minus Eileen because I aimed the camera at the wrong direction. See, told you that my photography skills are superb!

Whee~

Anyway, went karaoke-ing with hy, Eugene and Kevin today. Cash Studios is like my favourite karaoke place right now. We sang for more than 4 hours and they didnt charge us extra. Somemore can bring in your own food and drinks....seriously, how do they earn money?! They even offered to change our rooms for us because the next group of people who booked the room that we were using were coming soon. Damn nice =D The waitress kept smiling at us somemore. Normally at places like Kbox, the waitresses have this "I-cant-be-bothered-about-you" look plastered across their faces. Surprisingly, Kevin was like damn good at singing. He can sing songs by both male and female artistes and his rap was damn cool. Eh, isnt that like my sister? Heh.

Ate at Ajitei for dinner with hy. Ordered lots of food and dessert as well!!! Had substandard yomogi dango for dessert. The shape of the dango reminded me more of a lemon than a dango...wtf.

Had pizza for supper. Damn cool la the shape! The pizza tasted wonderful too by the way.

Okay, shall end this post abruptly because I got nothing else to write. More pictures of the crazy four of us here:

Went to the hospital today to change the waterproof sticker for my wound. Change one sticker also must fork out $75...why didnt I study medicine?! Anyway, removing the stitches on Friday...finally~ but still no strenuous activities for at least a few weeks. Starting to feel damn fat. Boo.

While at the hospital, Standard Chartered Bank(SCB) called my mum and asked for my number to check if we've won anything. The lady then told us that she'll give us a call back in 15minutes but seeing that she's from SCB, of course she didnt call back la. WTF. So, I rang SCB and talked to this guy who hung the phone up on me. FUCKER. STANDARD CHARTERED BANK TRULY SUCKS. By the way, UOB sucks pretty much too but let's wait for the manager to call me tomorrow before I say anything more about UOB.

Ate at MOF(Bugis) for lunch and ordered an iced matcha latte that tasted like as if I was drinking powder and milk. Totally no matcha taste and the powder made my throat uncomfortable. Complained to the waiter and he told me that that's they way they make the matcha latte. What?! Full of powder?! That just means that they never mix properly lar! Then again, the waiter was nice enough to waive the matcha latte for me and he was freaking polite throughout the whole conversation I had with him. Service=Wonderful. Food=Not too bad. Price=A little pricey. Matcha Latte=Just don't order it.

Just watched Cruel Intentions. Yes, i know it's a 1999 film but so what, I've never watched it before. Quite interesting and how come no one ever told me that Ryan Phillippe's so HOT?! I seriously cried when he died in the show lo. Speaking of hot guys, went to watch this dance musical called Spin Odyssey a couple of weeks ago with Li Ming. It's put up by this Korean b-boy group called Last For One. OMG, the dance was freaking good, storyline interesting and funny, and the guys were omfg cute/hot. Damn unfair lar! How come Singapore have no guys who look like them?!

Here's a video of them anyway. See how cool they are for yourselves~ It's the making video for Spin Odyssey.

Trailer for Spin Odyssey.

Wanted to take photos with the guys after the show but was too shy at first and by the time we mustered up some courage to do so, most of the guys went backstage to rest le. DAMN. Haha.

Gokusen 3/Zettai Kareshi

| | Comments (0) | TrackBacks (0)
As I've practically nothing to do these few days but to watch dramas, I actually stayed up till 7am to watch all 7 episodes of Gokusen 3 two days ago. OMG, I can't believe how fucked up my biological clock is right now. As for today, I finished watching Family Guy Season 6, watched two episodes of Super Rookie 2 and watched Zettai Kareshi up till episode 7. Wtf, I seriously need something to do...someone please ask me out for shopping, go to the gym, go makan...just ask me out to do something before I get stuck to my laptop.

Anyway, talking about Gokusen 3, when Takaki Yuya first appeared on screen, I was like..."wtf, isn't that Akanishi Jin's hairstyle in Gokusen 2?!" The hairstyle totally doesn't suit him as his face is just too small for it. Also, although he's like 18 already, he totally doesn't look like it so it's kind of weird that he's acting as someone who is the "head" of the class.
takakiyuya.jpg

Next, I think that Miura Haruma's hairstylist hates him or something. I know he's supposed to be a delinquent but hey, give him nicer hair can or not?! At least, try to blend the colours a little so that at least he doesn't look like as if he got a $1 dye job or something. Hair colour aside, I think that he's a really good actor. I initially thought that he couldn't act after seeing him in "14 Sai no Haha" but after watching this, I realised that hey, he portrayed his role quite well~.
miuraharuma.jpg

Compared to the previous seasons of Gokusen, I must say that the ikemen factor in Gokusen 3 is damn disappointing. Let's compare the cute guys in the 3 Gokusen seasons.
Gokusen 1: Oguri Shun, Matsumoto Jun, Narimiya Hiroki, Kamiji Yusuke and so on.
Gokusen 2: Koike Teppei, Hayami Mokomichi, Kamenashi Kazuya, Akanishi Jin and so on
Gokusen 3: Erm...can't really think of one. Okay, Ishiguro Hideo is kinda cute but not as cute as the guys in 1 & 2. =(
ishiguro.jpg

At least Yankumi's love interest is better looking this time round =D Lalala. Then again, storyline's starting to get a little boring because it's almost the same every season.
koizumigokusen.jpg

Moving on to Zettai Kareshi, can anyone tell me the procedure of getting a "01" myself? My god, Mokomichi is damn freaking ikemen in the show...the world is not fair okay. How come there's no Mokomichi lookalikes in Singapore?! I wanna go live in Japan. Lalala.
mokomichi.jpg

What a bimbotic post~ Whee~

Anmitsu Hime

| | Comments (0) | TrackBacks (0)
Finally got down to watching Anmitsu Hime. Although the show was set in the olden days, the introduction of modern elements made the show funny and interesting. The dessert-based names of the characters made me laugh like mad. It also helped that Koide Keisuke was in the show too :D He's like getting more and more handsome by the day. It's so not fair! Another person who made me feel unfair is...:

So beautiful can!

How can anyone be this pretty? I'm not talking about Inoue Mao(the girl on the left) here...although she's quite cute too.

The reason why I say that this person made me feel unfair is because...this person is a GUY...who doesnt look too bad either when he isnt dressed up as a woman. Somemore his voice is damn sexy~ Heh.

Saotome Taichi. ^_^ I am so jealous of you!

Can you believe that this guy is like 49 this year?! Japanese really do have a way of retaining their youthful looks and I want the secret!!! Someone please steal it for me?

Totally pointless post but...hee~ whatever.

Asaka High School/Wedding

| | Comments (0) | TrackBacks (0)

Brought some Japanese students from Asaka High School around Singapore on Wednesday. The meeting place was at Furama Riverpoint Hotel and somehow I managed to get lost while taking a bus from Queenstown so I had to take a taxi from some unknown bus stop that I alighted at. At that point in time, I felt very worried. I, a road idiot, was supposed to bring tourists around Singapore. I better not lose them at some ulu place. Anyway, after a short briefing, we walked over to Holiday Inn Atrium to pick them up. My group was a all-girl group and I'm quite happy because an all-girl group's defintely better than an all-guy group. First stop was St. Andrew Cathedral. Since I didnt know how to get there, I grouped together with Jessie and Kheng Liang(?)'s groups and we walked towards Chinatown MRT to take the MRT. Whoever said that Chinatown MRT was near Holiday Inn should be slapped. The walk was so freaking long and the Singaporeans wearing T-shirts couldnt even take the heat, lest to say the Japanese students who were wearing double layers of clothing. During the ride up the escalator at the MRT station, I must say that it was rather amusing to see like 20+ students all standing on the left and not a single soul on the right. It's the correct way to stand on escalators but seriously, no Singaporeans will ever follow that way because we are all so kiasu and we always want to be first in everything. :D

Next up was the War Memorial and my group wasnt too comfortable with it so we separated from Jessie and Kheng Liang's groups and proceeded to Chijmes. Seriously, the organiser should tell groups in future not to choose Chijmes because it's the most boring place in the morning/afternoon. Chijmes only come to life in the night and we were supposed to bring them back by 4pm so obviously they wouldnt get to see any interesting stuff there.

Walked through the bazaar at SMU before going to the Singapore Art Museum. It was my first time stepping into SMU and I must say that the very 'in' infrastructure makes the place seem very 'cold'. My group was attractive by this clay handphone accessory thing and we basically spent quite some time there. After that, we walked out of SMU and I realised that I didnt know where the SAM was so I had to ask a passer-by who told me that SAM was right behind me. DAMN, so paiseh can! SAM has no entrance fee if you enter at 12 so we went to eat first since it was only 11 plus. Recommended the cheap Kopitiam to them but they didnt want to eat there so we settled down at Coffee Bean to eat lunch. Seriously, I never though that I would say this but the food there is like totally worth the money...because the portion is freaking big. After lunch, we went to the SAM and there were like Singaporean secondary school kids there too. Schools should never organise trips to the SAM because the secondary students were absolutely asses who didnt know how to appreciate art, or even try to appreciate art. The last time I went there, NJC students were there and most of them were as noisy as the secondary school kids I saw there on Wednesday. Instead of entering the gallery to look at the art pieces, they were seated outside the gallery enjoying the aircon and talking at a noise level as if their friends were deaf or something. Total disgrace.

After the SAM, we went to Raffles City to do some shopping and the Japanese students were surprised to see that we have oden in Singapore too. Erm...or rather, oden that looked like fishballs boiled in hot water. As we were all tired from the morning walk to Chinatown MRT, we took a taxi back to the hotel. They were damn nice people and they tried to pay for my expenses throughout the trip but I wouldnt let them because it's just weird to let tourists pay for the host. Back at the hotel, they gave me some really cute sweets. :D Thanks~!

Attended my cousin(?)'s wedding dinner last night at Goodwood Park Hotel. Goodwood Park Hotel has like the most run-down carpark any hotel has and my father refused to park his car at the underground carpark because it looked more like a storeroom than a carpark. The wedding was supposed to start at 7:30pm but like any other Chinese wedding, it didnt start on time because even at 8pm, the place was only half-filled. It was only at like close to 9pm that the wedding officially started.

The newlyweds cutting the cake.

Pouring the champagne.

Yum~ seng! Okay, I dont even know 95% of the people giving the toast.

The first dish of the day. Suckling pig, sushi, mushroom, prawn and chicken. Damn good.

Dish 2 was actually fish maw soup but I forgot to take a photo so here's dish 3, roasted duck.

Steamed garoupa, followed by scallops with mushroom.

Abalone, sea cucumber and vegetables. Before this we had prawns cooked in Chinese herbs and wine but I was too busy struggling with de-shelling the prawn. Also, my hand was dirty. Next was black pepper udon noodles but yup, hands still dirty.

The oh-my-goodness-so-freaking-yummy mango cream with sago. Damn heavenly. I'm sure there was somemore food but I cant remember what I ate. :D

Me, Popo and Auntie.

Me, Popo

Before I end this post, I want to say that I'm damn addicted to NEWS' new song, weeeek. So freaking catchy and every member is dressed in suit and I think that guys in suits are damn sexy, after guys in yukatas. Every member looks so good in this PV. I was melting when Shige had his solo in the PV and I almost swooned when Massu wriggled out of his jacket. :D

Anyone wanna buy the CD for me? I want the Wakatsuki Chinatsu book too by the way.

Bishonen

Watched Bishonen in lecture today for JS2213. The show was good. I mean, how can it be bad with Daniel Wu who's like damn hot starring in it?! Okay la, the storyline was not bad also but the ending sucked damn bad. I hate it when cute guys die in movies. :( However, the show made Hong Kong seem like the whole place is filled with homosexual guys, or rather, guys who engage in sexual acts with other guys. Almost every single man who appeared in the show had something to do with same-sex love.

During the part where Daniel Wu's character was showering with the singer guy which later led to them having sex in the bathroom, one guy in the lecture theatre couldnt watch on and used a tissue paper to cover his eyes. -_-. He covered his eyes throughout the whole scene somemore. I cant believe it man. I mean, both the guys are like hot la, so in actual fact, the scene was quite steamy. If it was some old guy fucking another young guy then ya, I can understand why he'll cover his eyes because I cant take it also...but covering his eyes at Daniel Wu is just a no-no. Okay, ya, I'm crappy. Anyway, that guy finally removed the tissue paper after that scene and proceeded to cover his eyes again when Daniel Wu's character and Stephen Fung's character started kissing. Note that I wrote 'started kissing' and not 'started to roll half-naked on the bed'. What's wrong with him?! The other guy seated like 2 seats away from my friend went like 'Wah lau eh' when the latter scene happened. Seriously, why the guys so like that one?! All the girls in the lecture theatre were like cool with all those scenes and didnt make any noise nor cover their eyes. Then again, probably because there were 2 cute guys as the main leads so no girl wanted to cover their eyes. :D

Yes, I'm being very crappy today. I'll end here and return to watching the cute guys in Hello Aegi-ssi.
