Last part!

60. Took a ferry from Fukuoka to Busan with Lukas and Hwisang.

61. Haeundae, Busan.

62. Suwon Fortress. Note to self: Never wear heels there ever again.

63. Tried Ghetto Candy.

64. Cried almost every time I drank. The people who drank with me towards the end of my stay in Japan were probably used to my fucked-up, tear-stained face.

65. Drank alcohol in the school canteen using teacups.

66. Played ping-pong in the common room of our dorm.

67. Saw an albino snake!

68. Tried Miyajima Beer.

69. Rented and copied a porno DVD for my friend's birthday.

70. Permed my hair.

71. Watched AKB48 live in Singapore and spotted Akimoto-san!

72. Patronised the Atelier Royale Cafe at AFAX.

73. Downsized from a queen-sized bed to a single bed.

74. Visited the Olympic Stadium in Beijing!

75. Saw Pandas at the Beijing Zoo.

76. Tiantan with Alice!

77. Climbed Seorak Mountain...Okay, I took a cable car but I climbed for at least an hour after that.

78. Caught sight of Miss A at Myeongdong!

79. Got 2 wisdom tooth extracted.

80. Witnessed my cousin's wedding right from the part where they bully the groom!

81. Did countdown at Marina Bay with my sister, Haoyang and Denise.

I guess this ends my 'what I did for the first time in 2010' list. Im sure that there's more but I cant really remember so ...yea, I might add it in when I remember.

No resolutions this year because I cant keep them anyway! Happy New Year!

Part 2!

31. Field trip to Shimokamakarijima with Lukas, Alice and Andrew.


32. Was involved in the taping of Kung-fu guy's door...and Jeff's door as well. It was an evil thing to do but hey, people do stupid things on exchange!


33. Got drunk(drunk is like the state I was in for most of 2010...wtf) and hurt my knees when I fell down on the road. The stuffed cat in the picture broke my fall so I only ended up with light scratches. The stuffed cat's alright by the way.


34. Put someone's underpants on my head. Someone stole Omar's laundry(I wasnt involved!) and decided to wear his clothes as a joke.


35. Watched the World Cup for the first time with people of different nationalities. It was really interesting to see them supporting their own countries and getting all heated up during matches.


36. One of the Spanish guys got too heated up when Spain won and broke the window. World Cup ended on a bloodied note.


37. Tanabata Party at Yuki's house!


38. Played Pachinko and broke even. Phew!


39. Attempted to re-create the Lady Gaga ribbon hairdo. Wasnt a total failure I guess.


40. Literally got thrown out an izakaya by Clement, Andrew, Hwisang and Randall.


41. Donned a Saudi Arabian traditional dress.


42. Did mikan(tangerine oranges) harvesting!


43. At Kumamoto Castle with Alice.


44. Saw a live band performance by Justin, Santi, Josep and their brother.


45. Travelled to Kurashiki with Damon, Andrew and Gui.


46. Drank and did Hanabi in school!


47. All these for a free chocolate-coated banana...lol


48. Went for a ride in this car. The driver actually did a donut!


49. Painted salt balls with Clement, Alice, Gunyoung, Hwisang and Dohun.


50. Ate at Namja Town with Caity, Peony and Hwisang.


51. Saw Show Luo live...in Shibuya, Tokyo.

52. Made Gui put on blue mascara.


53. Challenged myself to eat the 10-kara curry at Coco's Curry House. It was fucking spicy and my ass burned for a few days after that.


54. Ate loquat-flavoured ice-cream in Nagasaki.


55. Carried Neil on my back...for like a split-second before I fell forward.


56. Laid down in the middle of the road just for the kick of it.


57. Dyed Gui's hair. Was supposed to dye it silver but it turned out to be brown and Gui's scalp was like pink for a few days. Oops.


58. Got so drunk that I managed to fall onto my bike and ended up with a huge bruise. I realised that I bruise a lot and really easy in Japan but I rarely do so in Singapore.


59. Got told by police that we were too noisy and was asked to leave. We had a farewell party and because it was too noisy, we walked out and sat on the walkway. Im sure we didnt make too much noise(I was sober) but the police told us to leave anyway.

Happy Bunny Year - Part 01

So 2010...I spent most of the year in Japan, 9 months to be exact and the remaining 3 months in Singapore, Malaysia, China and Korea. Lots of things happened in 2010 and the one that I'll never forget will be the passing of my grandmother on March 18. I was in Korea on holiday when I received the news and I was so shocked and I couldnt stop crying. I cant believe that a year is about to pass since her death. Today's only the first day of the New Year and it already feels different without her around. Popo, Gong Xi Fa Cai!!!

Anyway, let's move on to the stuff I did in 2010 for the first time.

1. Fukubukuro shopping in mainly Harajuku, Tokyo with Peony and Caity. Bought loads of stuff and had difficulties carrying them back to my dorm.


2. Fillet a cutlassfish with Tomomi with instructions from Souchan. Actually, it was my first time filleting any kind of fish. My hands smelt so bad afterwards that I lost my appetitie.


3. Gave a speech in Japanese in front of tons of Japanese people at the Hiroshima- Singapore Association symposium(?).


4. Drank too much till I puked. I kept losing during the games we played and had to down 1~2 cups of sake each time. Ended up hugging the toilet bowl of the karaoke place and smelt like shit afterwards.


5. Visited Kurokawa Onsen with Souchan, Asami and Toku! In fact, we did 3 onsens in less than 3 hours because we woke up too late the previous day because we were too drunk from the previous night. (See point 4.)


6. Tried Basashi, or Horse Sashimi. It was surprisingly good!


7. Ate at a yatai(mobile food stalls) in Fukuoka with Tiffany and Andrew!


8. Bought Soraben(bento sold on planes) on my flight from Fukuoka to Okinawa!


9. Went to Okinawa with Tiffany, Andrew, Toku and Sojung! Okinawa reminded me of Singapore alot so I guess I was the killjoy because I kept comparing the similarities.


10. Experienced a winter wonderland!...which turned into dirty, slushy snow by mid- day.


11. Chipped someone's tooth.

12. Had 2 9-hour long transits in the Thailand Airport...whose name I still cant pronounce.

13. Had a squeezy bath at Dogo Onsen, apparently Japan's oldest hot spring. There were so many people there that it wasnt comfortable at all.


14. Said hello to Matsuyama Castle in early Spring.


15. Visited this cafe called Bateren that had a horror theme.


16. Drank gochujang + soju as a punishment. God was that awful!


17. Climbed all the way up Namsan. Or rather, from the foot of the mountain to the foot of N Seoul Tower. Luckily it was winter and not summer!


18. Attended my first Nyuugakushiki(School Entrance Ceremony)...although it wasnt me who was entering school.


19. Did Hanami at Kagamiyama Kouen and made someone puke at the end of the day.


20. Kissed a guy.

21. Watched Koda Kumi live! She was so cute and sexy!


22. Went to Nagoya Castle with Caity and Andrew. Ventilation at the top of the castle was really bad.


23. At Inuyama Castle with Andrew and Caity.


24. Took a puff and quickly decided that smoking is not for me.


25. Helped pitch a tent and did mountain climbing at 4am because all of us got forced by Omar to do so...lol.


26. Saw Uehara Miyu in person. She is so skinny that it's scary.


27. Sight-seeing at Onomichi with Nuibe-san, Takako-san and Pek Sia!


28. Road trip to Tottori and Shimane with Clement, Erik, Peony, Becky, Austin, Gui and Jussi. All of us aboard the 'Cockodum'. Catchphrase for the road trip was 'Fuck Damon'...=D


29. Saw a camel and climbed sand dunes at Tottori. Couldnt ride the camel because they were quarantined.


30. At Matsue Castle with Peony!
