Tour of NHK/Umeda Sky Building

For the first time since I came to Hyogo, I finally got one day off where I could just laze around the whole day and do nothing. Whee~ In fact, all I did today was eat breakfast, watch White Chicks, sleep, eat dinner, surf the net. Havent had such a day in a long time...used to do that almost everyday back in Singapore. Hehe. Okay, actually I'm supposed to complete my homework but I just cant command myself to start working on it. Yar, I'm a lazy ass. Whee~

Went to the NHK studio in Osaka last week with my host sister to watch a live recording of "Ahoyanen Sukiyanen". Had totally no idea what the show was about before I went and all I knew was that JALJAL and Nakayama Kouta are in it...thanks to hy~

Since there was still lots of time before the recording started, we took the opportunity to tour NHK~
First stop was to visit the set of the on-going drama, "Dandan".

Next, we played this thing where you can become a weather girl/boy/alien, newscaster, aerobics teacher and many more weird stuff. It was really fun because you dont exactly get to do these sort of things everyday. We even recorded a DVD which I'm never going to upload here because it's just too wtf =D

Saw a recording of another show and wanted to take a photo but was stopped by security...##@%#$%@#@. There was a little bazaar outside NHK that day and since it was lunchtime, we went to buy almost all the food sold there. Had octopus croquette which was freaking good, crab bau and dango. I really wanted to try the squid sold there but by the time I finished all the food I bought, I was too full to eat anymore...=( The uncle who sold dango gave us a discount because...we were pretty~heh. Okay la, he probably wanted to go home early so he charged us less and gave us an omamori too~ Whee~

My host sister brought me to this place called "Miki Fruits Cafe" to have fruit parfait~ The fruits were like seriously sweet can! Ordered melon and peach parfait and I contemplated ordering one more because it was just so worth it. 850yen for a parfait decorated with fresh fruits~

In fact, I should've had ordered one more parfait because one melon costs a freaking 11,000yen can! wtf...so expensive lar. The parfait's so much more worth it~ There's like 600yen banana too, and I dont mean a bunch of them but just one. My host sister bought a few of them though so I got to eat it without paying~lalala. With 600yen, you can probably buy like a FEW bunches of bananas in Singapore lo.

Took photos of myself in the toilet because the toilet was just soooo pretty. Whee~

After eating the oh-so-delicious parfait, I followed my host sister around because she wanted to visit a shop...that she wouldnt tell me where even though I asked her a few times~. Had a hard time searching for that shop because the last time my host sister went there was like what...10 over years ago or something. Walked through Amerikamura(American Village) and seriously...it didnt remind me of America lo. Then again, I've never been to America...wtf. One thing to note was that there was lots of freaking cute guys there~ like seriously swarming the whole place...heh.

Ran into the Chocolate Man while at Triangle Park. He totally smelt of leather to me...eh...isnt he supposed to smell like chocolate?! Cheater!!! :D Dont know how the Chocolate Man sees because there were no holes in his outfit...wait...probably the two chio girls beside him were there to help him make his way through the park?

Finally reached the shop that my host sister wanted to go to...the Johnny's Shop!!! There were sooooo many girls/women in the shop that day can! The temperature outside the shop was probably 15degrees Celsius that day and probably 30degrees Celsius in the shop lo! Succumbed to temptation and bought a few Kinki Kids stuff~ The Kinki Kids and V6 sections were the only sections that had no queues of girls snaking in front lo...Damn sad...but at least that meant that I didnt have to squeeze though tons of people to buy stuff~

Went back to NHK to watch the live recording and it was surprisingly interesting. The recording was only one hour long but there was an one-hour off-camera event after it. It was obvious that most of the geinins were damn sian during the off-camera event though. :( Anyways, went to this okonomiyaki place called Kiji, located in Umeda Sky Building, for dinner. Luckily we went there early because by dinner time, there was a long queue outside the shop. In fact, it was so crowded that we had to leave by the backdoor after dinner!

The walls of the okonomiyaki shop were plastered with photos, namecards, train tickets, signature boards etc. Damn interesting and the food was super-duper good~

Went to the Umeda Sky Building Floating Garden Observatory after dinner, using the discount coupon that we got from Kiji =D.

The night view of Osaka was really pretty and even the ground was something to look at lor~.

Some love measurer thing where couples sit there and it will measure how much the couple love each other. I think it's bullshit though. Lalala~ The guy who was in charge of that corner that day was cute though~ Tralala~

Asuka, Me.

Some random couple getting all lovey-dovey on the couch...seriously...GET A ROOM! There were like little kids around lo...wtf.

Dessert time~. Had a dango set and a...

warabi-mochi set. Ate too much that day and felt damn bloated when we went home.

Grounded our own kinako (soybean flour), which was required for the warabi-mochi set.

Didnt realise that we were caught on TV during the live recording because we were like seated in the second row from the front. Freaking close to the stage but damn far from the cameras.

Not very clear though but at least I know that's me~. Whee~

Okay, end of entry...shall make myself start on my homework. More pictures at
