Yesterday marked the end of my Korean A2 class. Received my results and I was surprised to see that my teacher gave me 19 out of 20 marks for my oral test. The reason's because during the free response question where she asked how the course was, I replied "It was good." My answer was freaking short compared to the rest of my classmates where they answered stuff like "It was difficult but I learnt a lot of new stuff. Also, it was pretty interesting...." and so on. Also, I only made 2 mistakes on my written paper. Whee~ The highest mark I've ever gotten since erm...Elementary 1 where I scored full marks. Heh.
Enough of my haolian-ing, I shall proceed to write about the cultural night that happened after class yesterday. Each class had to perform a skit(or song if there's not enough time to prepare). One of the classes actually ran off after taking their result slips, leaving their poor teacher behind to clear up the mess they left behind, i.e., explain to the emcee why her class wasn't able to perform. That class' so fucking irresponsible and childish, considering that most of the students are working adults.
The event started off with a skit put up by Elementary 1 Class 1, where they did...erm...Snow Prince. The guy in the picture acted as the prince. Sometimes it kind of sucks to be the only guy in the class because he'll always get bullied by the girls to do whatever they dont want to do. =P

Next up was a song performance by Advanced 1. They did this fox song and they were quite good~

Loved the cute hats that they made. Seriously, almost all of the classes made props and costumes for their skits. I say almost because our class did not. In fact, our class only came together to rehearse on that day itself and even so, only half the class attended the rehearsal.

Elementary 2 went next with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The woman in grey played the role of the magic mirror and the one in black played Snow White's evil stepmother. The actors weren't very audible(considering that the judge sat way behind me, if I couldn't hear already, how could he have heard anything?!) but that didn't stop them from getting first prize...but I think that it's because they're from Elementary 2, i.e., Min-seonsaengnim's class. Her class always win something during cultural night. Predictable. I overheard one of the staff saying that the class who did Coffee Prince was better.

Next up was Intermediate 1 but I didn't take any pictures because my Felie arrived at that time and I was briefing her on our skit and...Intermediate 1 was basically too soft so yup, couldn't hear anything. Elementary 3 went next with Coffee Prince where they had puppets to introduce their skit. See what I meant when I said about bringing props.

Meet-the-Parents session. The lady who acted as the mum was so freaking bitchy, and I mean it in a good way. I like. Haha.

Elementary 1 Class 2 performed Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. They too, had lots of props. Second prize went to them.

Last but not least, my class performed My Name is Kim Sam Soon. The youngest person in my class, i.e. me, played the role of Sam Soon's mother...wtf. I initially volunteered for the role because I thought that the mother would have very little lines. I mean, look at the title of the show! Sam Soon's the main character lor. In the end, the mother had the most lines and I had to use a freaking mike throughout my performance otherwise I'll probably go dumb by the end of the skit.
Oh, and this is me hitting Hak Pang, the guy who acted as Samshik. Everyone laughed when they heard that he was Samshik and went crazy laughing when I started hitting him. He's quite well-known among the students by the way. Oh, and the audience burst out in laughter again when Samshik started winking at Sam Soon so as to ask her to lie about her being pregnant. -____-

One reason why you shouldn't mess with me. I'll hit you with a broom till you faint. Hahaha, wtf.

I forgot my lines in the middle of the performance and luckily my teacher was there to prompt me. Paiseh. Hak Pang and Aileen are like damn good actors can! They seem damn scared of me here...haha. I was basically telling Sam Soon(Aileen) to keep queit and questioning Samshik(Hak Pang) about his family background here.

The principal announcing the winners. It was quite funny when he said "For those classes who do not win anything today, please continue to join our classes next term".

Aileen and Hwang Jung Hee seonsaengnim.

We ended up getting 3rd prize, which was quite good considering we didnt really prepare much.
Hak Pang, Hwang seonsaengnim, Aileen, Felie, Me...and my "dog" who guest starred as Ocheonmanwon in our skit. So sad, I won't be seeing them again in class because I might not be taking the next level. Boo.
We basically divided up our prize before attacking the buffet table where there was kimbap, chap chae, ddeok and kimchi. Ta-da~ Settled dinner.

My teacher commented that I looked very tired that day and I did not believe her until I saw this picture. My eyes look damn slity can!!! I should stop staying up to 3~4am.

Anyway, I guess I was too nervous or something that day and got too relaxed after the performance that I developed a pretty bad case of stomachache. Couldn't even walk straight. Couldn't even stuff my face with ddeok and kimbap. Boo.
