Before meeting hy to sing karaoke today, I went shopping for clothes. Yes, I know I should stop buying new clothes but just cant help la, the 50% discount sign never fails to attract me. I am cheapo.
Anyway, went to this shop where all the dress sizes were freaking small. It's not small as in cannot fit in kind of small. It's like just nice everywhere except cannot zip all the way to the top. I already quite flat-chested still cannot zip, so ya, that dress is like made for people for no boobs. Idiotic la, the dress was damn nice, not to mention cheap.

So ya, karaoke was as usual fun because I can sing the songs although I tend to sing out of tune. I cant sing songs properly without the digital analog. Sorry hy, haha. While singing some song that I cant remember, I managed to sing through at least half of it before realising that I did not switch on the mike. Before realising, I was wondering what the hell happened to the mike. One thing I dont like about Japanese songs karaoke is that the PV shown is never the original one and it's always some weird videos shown. I've seen many weird videos before but today's ones were like the best of all.

While singing Hamasaki Ayumi's July 1st, there was a woman clad in bikini jumping all about. How distracting...

In Chage and Aska's Meguri Ai, the video was even worse! The video was practically AV...Even more distracting.

After karaoke, we went shopping and ate at Pizza Hut. The two of us managed to eat 35+ worth of food and I felt seriously bloated after the meal. So ya, went shopping to digest...and ended up buying a bottom and jacket which was yup, if you have already guessed it, 50% off. :D

Yup, yesterday was my 20th birthday(yea, I know I am old). Kymberlyn celebrated with me the day before at Ritz Carlton. So long never do high tea le~! I really loved the mango pudding and salmon thingy there. So delicious. The tea strainer was damn cute and I actually contemplated stealing it home. Thanks Kymberlyn for the wonderful birthday present, loved it~! Oh ya, I realised that we forgot to take a picture together...arr.

Just people also celebrated my birthday with me yesterday~. They used the supposed-to-turn-up-but-everyone-pang-seh-you kind of ruse to bluff me saying that no one could make it. Erm, but I sort of knew it beforehand. Heh heh, am I clever or what? Ok, I lied. Actually I knew it because when Weiqi sent me birthday sms, she accidentally typed it in. :D Anyway, ate at Waraku where the portions served there were like kee-siao kind of big. Everything is like extra-to-the-power-of-ten kind of large portion lo! Then there was this paper steamboat called kami-nabe in Japanese and somehow everyone just pronounced it as kaninabe. -_-

We ate there for like around 4 hours. Damn power right. When we reached the restaurant, it was lunch hour so it was packed. We ate from when the restaurant was packed till it was empty, to the extent that even the staff there changed shifts. We totally rock. After the long long la la lunch, we went to Cineleisure to meet up with Sherie before going to watch a movie. Watched Battle of Wits by Andy Lau. Never really liked Andy Lau when I was young but now I think that he's damn charismatic. He got that as-he-grows-older-he-becomes-more-handsome face. It's not fair lar. Battle of Wits was damn good but it reminded me of Troy~.

Dinner was at the Hongkong cafe in Cineleisure. The food there really rocks and it's not that expensive~ After dinner, Sherie and Tony accompanied me till 12+ ~ Somemore afterwards, they sent me home although the taxi passed by their houses first. Domo arigatou gozaimashita~! Also, thanks to all those who wished me happy birthday~! I really appreciated that!

The birthday cake ~

Me and birthday cake.

The $14.80 fruit platter. Seriously, if it wasnt complimentary, I would not have ordered this.

Oishii~

The menu that schon will like~ heh

Karen looking professional with that omg camera.

Posing for neoprints on the escalator.

Note to self : Grow taller.

This picture is damn funny. It looks like as if Sherie is unhappy with us for acting siao. Haha.

Outside John Little~

Ok, as usual, more pictures over in the gallery~.

Broadway Beng

Went to watch Broadway Beng Returns yesterday. From the title of the play, you know it's about an ah beng doing broadway shows and hence, obviously there would be lots of Hokkien used in the play. Initially I was kind of worried about the use of Hokkien in the play because I cannot understand Hokkien. However, surprisingly, I could understand most of the Hokkien used yesterday. Erm, probably it's because the Hokkien used was more of vulgarities and hence, I understood. Haha, I can understand vulgarities of a particular language without knowing how to speak it. Hee~

The play was seriously worth the money. It was so freaking funny and I totally loved ah beng's portrayal of Phantom of the Opera. Phantom of the Opera a.k.a ah beng version was so cute and I was quite amazed by the foreigner woman's voice. Damn high can~! Oh ya, and the woman who played Christine had such a sweet voice. I want also~! While watching the play, I thought that the ah beng was damn familiar but I did not know who was Sebastian Tan. So when I went home and google-d his name, I finally realised why. He's the guy who used to sing the Price of Peace theme song and I think he acted in quite a few Mediacorp(or TCS, since it was quite long ago) dramas. Ok, he has quite a good voice. :D

I was so into old songs when I heard the Price of Peace theme song that I went to download more old TCS drama songs. Ok, I know I am damn lame and have nothing better else to do, but whatever la...I'm sick and cant do much anyway. I wanted to download Chew Chor Meng's Immortal Love theme song but cant find it anywhere...can anyone send me if they have it? Hehe. Oh ya, I realised they named Immortal Love as My Date With a Vampire 4. WTF?! MDWAV is a Hongkong drama for goodness sake! In addition, MDWAV started in 1998 and Immortal Love started in 1997 so it doesnt make any cow sense to put Immortal Love as part 4 lo...

I am obviously sick considering that I'm actually doing stuff like this...

Exams are over ~!

Yes!!!! The exams are finally over and I've managed to finish Year 1 Uni. Ok, I feel old now.

CL1101E paper wasnt that bad, but it wasnt that good either. It doesnt help that 90% of my classmates are from China and they have obviously learnt those stuff before. Around half of the class left after 1 hour into the paper. See how freaking smart they are!!! Heard from Fiona that there was this idiotically complacent guy who brought his handphone into the examination hall and it rang not once but twice throughout the paper. The handphone was like in his pocket throughout the whole exam and he even took it out once to reject the first call but didnt bother to mute the phone. Somemore, no one bothered to go punish him. What the fuck were the teachers doing? That same guy finished the paper too early although he was late, and as he could not leave before 1 hour was up, he spent the rest of the time...talking to the invigilator...and the invigilator talked to him too. WTF! Others dont have to take exam ar?! Idiotic piece of shit.

TS1101E was so freaking bad. Two essay questions and one compulsory. Of all the topics the teachers could have had chosen for the compulsory question, they had to pick the one that I dont know a thing about it. It didnt help that I did not listen in class for that particular topic. Shit. For the 'either or' question, I managed to do question 'or' while most of the others I asked did question 'either'. I really think differently from most people.

JS2203 wasnt so bad. Morita-sensei said that it was an easy paper. Ok, it wasnt easy but at least passable. Moreover, it was my last paper so no matter how bad it could have had been, it wouldnt have had mattered that much. :D

Left 1 hour earlier during the JS2203 exam and waited with hy 1 hour for Joseph to reach school so that we could take back our JS2101 paper. He said that we could only collect our papers after 11am and he was damn freaking on the dot. Right when my handphone clock changed to 11:00, he appeared. For a paper done in one day, I must say that I'm satisfied with the mark I got :D.

Went to Kinokuniya afterwards where hy went mad buying magazines. I finally know what is the meaning of 'fangirl' and think that I'm kind of far from it. Or am I? Hee. Went back to school afterwards to play games and barbecue~During the games session, my tension was like damn high and I think I kind of scared most of the people there...because I'm normally damn tired and reserved in classes. Cant blame me la, exams over le, so of couse must go crazy... at least for a while. Hehe. After games, went to Clarinda's hostel to wash up and all of us ended up talking too long that in the end, our guests-of-honour arrived earlier than us for the barbecue. Oops. Felt so lazy during the barbecue. All we did was to sit down and wait to get served. Anyway, I dont think that anyone would have the courage to eat what I cook also. Hee. Lots of good food yesterday. There were salmon, scallops, satay, eel, stingray, sushi, onigiri, freaking-sweet strawberries, yakisoba, mexican wrap, mochi...and blah blah blah. OMG~ so freaking delicious! The barbecue pit we were had had no lighting so it was kind of difficult to see while cooking so Yan-san sat above the pit while holding up his handphone so as to provide light. Haha, so funny can! Pictures will come later after everyone sends their photos. Hee :D
