Guo Mei Mei

I remember I did this Taiwanese artises plagarising other people's songs blog article on my website once...but it got deleted when my server crashed. Fuck. Anyway, recently, this one artist has been getting on my nerves. Okay, she's not Taiwanese but whatever la.

She's none other than the all-Singaporean Jocie Guo Mei Mei.

I think she's the only artiste up to date who has the most number of plagarised songs...not to mention album cover too.

First of all, her album cover. Why did she copy Ocean Ou and put some cartoon character on her album cover?! I can understand why Ocean wants to picture himself as a cartoon character...considering he looks rather...well, normal. However, Guo Mei Mei is actually quite good-looking already. So, the only reason why she's doing this, or rather her company, is because they're trying to copy Ocean.

Secondly, her music.

First album saw a cover version of Lao Shu Ai Da Mi, the freaking popular song that I dont like at all. So many people copied the song so yup, cant really blame her for wanting to get remembered as one of those who did so.

Just when I thought that no more Lao Shu Ai Da Mi would be played on TV, here came Bu Pa Bu Pa, a cover of that 'Numa Numa Numa eh' song.(Sorry, dont know what's the original title.) Hello, whatever happened to songwriters?! You mean her company cant afford writing new songs for her?! In addition to it, this album/single only consists of one song, which is not even original. You might ask who would want to buy a single consisting of one song. Well, her company went on to make 8 remixes of that song and recorded all of them into her album. Once again, this sounds like a tatic Japanese artises use. Copycat! The lyrics to this song seriously sucks too. If you want to copy other people's songs, at least write nice lyrics to go with it and not childish lyrics about you and Siu Keung(the cockroach). Plus, the PV for this song was so badly done too...as compared to Ocean's PVs.

Anyway, Guo Mei Mei doesnt have that a great voice too...

Moving on to Taiwanese artises...the artiste that I havent mentioned before is none other than Sweety! They managed to do a cover of Morning Musume's Koi no Dance site. Yay for copycat singers! Jolin copies, Yuki Hsu copies, 5566 copies, Energy copies like no ones' business...and the list goes on...Plus they seem to be damn proud about copying songs...WTF.
